We are Stairs to Nowhere.
We play Garagerock Extraordinaire with sounds found in old abandoned factories and words carved in wooden floors...
We feel that if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing yourself… by hand. That's why we painted this presentation on a large piece of wood and dropped it on the front steps of mr. Aalberts' residence.
The CD you see is our first album, it's called 'Adieu Delicate Atheist'. It has been very well received by the Dutch press. We have posted some pressquotes on our MySpace.
The entire album is available as a free download at Bandcamp and you can also buy a hand-painted hardcopy at our shows or at the local recordstore.
If you like, you can follow us around on Twitter or leave a comment on our website.
But we do other things too. In between shows we find deserted places to play. Here are some photographs from our last expedition:
A while ago we broke into the legendary concert hall Vredenburg, where we played a song called Urban Riots. The Next Best Band filmcrew joined us in Vredenburg and posted the footage online. The mayor didn't think much of it and local authorities sued, but we got away with it in the end. Here's the video that nearly got us into a load of trouble:
Thank you and see you around.
